TOEFL Test Listening Section

This section covers your ability to interpret conversational English.  This is a tough section to practice.  A good recommendation is to get friends together and have them talk about current events, daily life occurrences and their hobbies in English.  Restrict your friends from using excessive gestures and facial expressions.  Then write down on a piece of paper the main points of each speaker.  During the computer test you will have headphones on during the listening test.

You will not be able to take notes during the conversation to help remind you later.  So pay close attention to all of the details of the conversation.  Then you will be asked multiple- choice questions about the speakers content, opinion and possibly the main idea of the conversation.  You will have 40-60 minutes during this part of the TOEFL test.
